Check out the latest and greatest in photo editing technology with the beta version of Adobe Photoshop CS6. Leading the industry with this powerful package, Adobe has introduced several hot new features in this package which are both interesting and useful at the same time for some professionals in various fields.
Probably the most touted new feature, or rather improved feature, is the "Content Aware" tool which gives Photoshop a boost in its artificial intelligence technology which makes filling certain areas easier than before. The "Content Aware" feature allows you to move objects around on the image while the program tries to intelligently fill the area. You're less likely to have to make some interesting adjustments on the background of the image.
Another thing that Adobe Photoshop now offers is the ability to perform video editing functions. We're not too sure where this will lead as Photoshop has always filled the niche of photo editing, but some of the tools you're used to using in Adobe Photoshop are now offered as video editing tools also. Along with video editing are also some basic audio editing functions, though it still has a long way to go to reach the functionality of programs like Sony's Vegas.
Another new feature which actually may bother some designers in the brand new layout Adobe has introduced in this beta version of Adobe Photoshop 6. The new layout of Adobe Photoshop Beta is actually a striking dark grey, sort of minimalist-looking design. If you're not interesting in using this layout, you're easily able to switch back to the classic design layout by selecting it under Preferences -> Layout.
Though content aware was a huge selling point of the previous update to the Adobe Photoshop series, we are pleased to let you know that the newest iteration of Content Aware Fill has been improved slightly, though since this is a beta, anything can happen later on.
Overall though, if you already own a copy of Adobe Photoshop and you're not too keen on slight improvements such as Content Aware, some basic video editing functions or a new GUI design, this beta is the perfect place to start testing whether the new Adobe Photoshop CS6 is right for you.
Adobe Photoshop Beta can add text to an image, apply special effects to a picture, create animated GIFs, create PNG graphics and create web graphics.
Adobe Photoshop Beta is licensed as Shareware for the Windows operating system / platform from graphics editors and can be used as a free trial until the trial period ends (after an unspecified number of days). The Adobe Photoshop Beta CS6 demo is available to all software users as a free download with potential restrictions and is not necessarily the download of the full version.
Compatibility with this software may vary, but will generally run fine under Microsoft Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista and XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. A separate x64 version may be available from Adobe.
We have tested Adobe Photoshop Beta CS6 against malware with several different programs. We certify that this program is clean of viruses, malware and trojans. [Read more]
